Our Emm

Our Emm

There are friends and there are FRIENDS.

There are brothers and then there are BROTHERS.

....and then there is Emm!

Every picture of this precious soul, that i have EVER taken (and that's a MOUNTAIN of pic's), would speak to another part of my friend's humor, honor, craziness, compassion, etc., but THIS shot. This shot is where my "story of Emm" must start. Why? Because above all else and before any other praise or rant, my beloved brother Emm is simply (and very...

Never read too much into messages drawn upon strange foreign back-roads even IF they are IN your own language and seem tailor made summations of the mood you left the local customs office still fuming and grousing about the $300 in "import duties" they want to charge you just to get BACK you own damn Mac laptop!

As Dasha and I were wandering the sprawling wondrous ruins of Angkor Wat, carried upon a dream-like byzantine ocean of stone carved (stoneD carved?!) storytelling, this "sculptural moment" stole into my heart and camera.

Here was giving, a sign of human tenderness, no passion, over 1000 years old. Here was a communication of humanity, mutuality, generosity and.....and, well,....... love. Wow, how this moment of true high art, regardless (or because of) of how anscient, shone with a vibrational freshness as it washed across massive gaps of time, language and culture.

Well here it is: a begining.

Strange how 1 thing really does lead to another. I was reading brother Eddie's InJournal postings over at the Integral Naked (virtual campus) and got curious about how to reply to his posts there. Followed a link of one of the other folks who had posted some kind words back to Ed and ended up here.

Anyway, too wiped tonight to add more. Just wanted to get this blog launched, unplug both our laptops and tumble, as in our love, head over heels into that most blissful of little deathsssss.........zzzzz......zzzzz.......(etc)
