Longing

Longing

to the mute chilly silence of our longing skin
one pillow too many and 7 (slow) kisses too few
warmth but no fire
fields but no flowering
tears but no flowing
to alone for loneliness
to rich this purple secret pain
shadows hug memories better
here
softness becomes sharp (and flat)
here
gender's lament lost on cool deaf cotton
and still
this ache for all together would melt
if we weren't
still
again
alone

DeadCity: There in your aloneness you're hot in the wrong tomb where no rote spasms sweat either of you free.

Just TRY
...to control the dream (of this "waking life") or any one in it and..... NIGHTMARE.

Just FORGET
... that all here is impermanent, ever changing and destined to die (at least disappear beyond all recognition) and.... NAUSEOUS SHOCK.

Just MISTAKE
...even for one lazy, hopeful, indulgent moment (or three), her as "yours" or pass yourself off to her in kind and..... SUFFER DEEP.

Just CHOOSE
...the wrong face (body) of God to love tonight, the wrong moment to speak or be silent and better..... RUN FAST.

Just EGO's
...usual casual murder of love's fragile footprint and all the cruel karma it invites in...... SHARPEST RETURN.

RedCity: Ultimatums in blood worse than the crimes they would blame and punish for this careless cut.
DeadCity: These windows, so used to hiding the innocent from the Nazis below, do nothing to hide the guilty from the SS within.

*endless grateful sighs*

You know his band right?! No?! LIVE?! ....you must. These guys are simply stellar humans and crazy-great musicians.

If you love the passion of really powerful progressive rock but find 99% of the nagging and whining (inane, adolescent, lost) lyrics of, sadly most, of today's MTV flat-land output just too much to suffer in trade, tune in! If you love transcendental poetry yet wish Rumi would have had an electric Fender (or Chad Taylor) at his ecstatic command then search no further: www.friendsoflive.com
...and dearest devotee of the Real, true friend and the band's radiant front-man Ed Kowalczky's brave journal (over at Wilber's WWWorld): http://eddiek.injournals.org/

Thank you Wax.
THANK YOU LIVE....
...for gifting my life with the perfect soundtrack for almost every moment (dark or light) of this wild and most extremely precious sacred Ride.
